Europe is preparing to take "very significant" steps
toward financial integration in an effort to preserve the euro zone and prevent
debt-crisis fallout from damaging the global economy, senior U.S. administration
officials said Monday as heads of state from the Group of 20 largest
industrialized and developing nations meet.
